Title: Director of Human Resources

The Director of Human Resources will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources (HR) Department. They will ensure the agency's legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for all things HR and is interested in a long-term role within a meaningful mission. This is an onsite, Monday-Friday position located in Delray Beach, FL. The position will report to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises the work of HR personnel and provides guidance
• Manages and supervises the HR team to ensure cross-training occurs
• Works closely with Compliance to ensure preparation for audits and files are in compliance
• Reviews and enhances policies and procedures based on the organization’s needs
• Serves as the point of contact for employee relations and employee services
• Manages grievances and disciplinary action cases when required
• Provides training and coaching to SMEs and managers
• Anticipates and resolves litigation risks together with leadership and employment lawyers
• Reviews and manages alerts within HRIS systems (i.e. Greenshades)
• Works closely with Payroll to ensure onboarding, off-boarding, pay, benefits, and leave cases are managed accordingly

Skills:

• Overseeing all HR initiatives, systems, and tactics
• Responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects
• Experience with managing a team and people
• Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
• BS/BA in human resource management, business administration, or relevant field or equivalent experience will be a plus
• 4 plus years’ experience preferred or progressively responsible HR-related experience
• Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices

Knowledge:

• Preferable background in healthcare and/or mental health industries
• Experience with OSHA, Joint Commission, AHCA, and DCF
• Experience working with healthcare staff recruitment, staffing, training & organization a plus
• Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and managerial skills to oversee the HR Department and work with all employees within the company
• Familiar with some HRIS systems (such as Greenshades, JazzHR) preferred
• SHRM/CP or SCP certification is a plus
