PURPOSE
This position is a middle management position with the responsibility for the daily management of unit and staff activities, scheduling, orientation, development, implementation and reporting of unit procedures, and the coordination of resident flow from CSU to their internal/external SCMHC services.

This is a full-time position paying:
$27.00 per hour for Bachelor’s Degree
$30.00 per hour for Master’s Degree
$40.00 per hour for Registered Nurse License.

PURPOSE
This position is a middle management position with the responsibility for the daily management of unit and staff activities, scheduling, orientation, development, implementation and reporting of unit procedures, and the coordination of resident flow from CSU to their internal/external SCMHC services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative:
- Responsible for staffing according to shift needs and requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring daily program is being followed on all units.
- Responsible for hiring, orientation, training, evaluating and on-site daily supervision of staff.
- Monitoring the recordkeeping of Credible information, daily reports, and incidents reports.
- Responsible for supplying the units.
- Responsible for the addition and removal of items from the client safe.
- Assist in establishing, maintain and updating the unit’s policies and procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring that the housekeeping, maintenance and dietary needs of the unit are met.
- Assist in monthly staff meetings.
- Is on call by SCMHC; furnished phone to provide staff coverage to keep unit operable 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
- Completes evaluations of staff performance and staff development plans.
- Administer disciplinary actions when needed.
- Conduct monthly fire drills and other inspections.
- Fill in as needed to fulfill staffing needs, within scope of practice.
- Directs the treatment team to ensure that appropriate treatment is given to the clients while on the unit and disposition at the time of discharge.
- Responsible for monitoring the legal status of clients while on the unit as it pertains to F.S. 394.
- Conducting weekly/monthly chart reviews.
Minimum:
- 1-3 years experience supervising staff with varied backgrounds.
- 3-5 years experience supervising staff with varied backgrounds, preferred.
- Must have 1-3 years experience in the mental health field
- Medical background preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- BA/BS in Behavioral Sciences
- MA/MS in Behavioral Sciences
- Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida
- Experience working with individuals with severe mental illness
- Experience working in acute care settings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer and documentation skills
This is a full-time position paying:

- Sunday- Thursday 8:00a-4:30p
- Sunday- Thursday 12:00a-8:30a
